The pillowcase is finished!
Although, I actually finished last week, but am now getting around to blogging about it!

It turned out really nice, and I am so glad I tried it!  I hope to make many more for her.
I also finished Audrey's, but it did NOT turn out so well.
I had to wing it because the pattern was size 3 and up. :(
I made it too long and too tight on top.
I made her wear it to church Sunday anyway, so if I totally screw it up when I go to fix it, atleast she will have worn it once. HA!
But, I believe I will be able to fix it.

Also, Jewel came over last weekend and she helped me create this:

She talked me out of painting the entire background black, but Jackie thinks he would like it better all black.
I am on the fence about it still.  But I LOOOVE the pear!

This is how I found my little one watching tv the other day.
She WAS laying there with her hand under her chin!
But, when I ran to get the camera and came back in, she was starting to back off the ottoman.

I am posting this picture for 2 reasons..one because I just love the look on her face, and 2 because of what she is sitting on.
The highchair was given to us when I was pregnant with Charlotte.
It wasn't new by any means, but it was at the time, in great shape and FREE.
I have always disliked the seat pad, though.
Now that I THINK I can sew, I want to make a new one for the highchair.
I want to find the PERFECT fabric, though.
SO we shall see.

And, so Charlotte doesn't feel left out on this post..here is an adorable action shot of her from the splashpad last week:

Yes, the action is : picking out a wedgie.  But, I love the picture anyways!

Sewing Things

Sewing is soo much fun! I am so glad I got started in it!

This is my first "completed project".

Do not be fooled.
This fabric came ready to be a dress.  I did NOT do the scrunchy top. HA!
All I had to do was put a seam in it and I added the ribbon straps. Voila! A dress!

Charlotte saw the fabric in the store and she really wanted it. I figured it would make a good practice dress for me on the new sewing machine.

I have been for the past few weeks {sparingly working on it} a pillowcase dress at my mom's on her old sewing machine.
It doesn't take that long to actually DO it, but with only an hour here and an hour  there, me messing it up;
ripping seams out to do over. It is taking me longer to do it all.

All my stuff for the dress is at my mom's apartment {which I am going to retrieve today} otherwise it would have been the first thing I finished on my brother machine.

I cannot wait to finish it! Hopefully I will get the chance tonight after the girls get to bed! Then I can start on Audrey's!

I have already started 2 travel pillows for the girls.  All they need is stuffing!'
I started a headband for myself last night, but without elastic, I cannot finish it!
A Wal-Mart is on my agenda today.

That's what I really should be doing. Getting dressed and eating breakfast so we can leave!

I cannot wait to finish all my little halfway done projects!!
