The pillowcase is finished!

Although, I actually finished last week, but am now getting around to blogging about it!

It turned out really nice, and I am so glad I tried it!  I hope to make many more for her.

I also finished Audrey's, but it did NOT turn out so well.

I had to wing it because the pattern was size 3 and up. :(

I made it too long and too tight on top. 

I made her wear it to church Sunday anyway, so if I totally screw it up when I go to fix it, atleast she will have worn it once. HA!

But, I believe I will be able to fix it. 

Also, Jewel came over last weekend and she helped me create this:

 

She talked me out of painting the entire background black, but Jackie thinks he would like it better all black.

I am on the fence about it still.  But I LOOOVE the pear!

This is how I found my little one watching tv the other day.

She WAS laying there with her hand under her chin!

But, when I ran to get the camera and came back in, she was starting to back off the ottoman.

I am posting this picture for 2 reasons..one because I just love the look on her face, and 2 because of what she is sitting on.

The highchair was given to us when I was pregnant with Charlotte.

It wasn't new by any means, but it was at the time, in great shape and FREE.

I have always disliked the seat pad, though.

Now that I THINK I can sew, I want to make a new one for the highchair.

I want to find the PERFECT fabric, though.

SO we shall see.

And, so Charlotte doesn't feel left out on this post..here is an adorable action shot of her from the splashpad last week:

Yes, the action is : picking out a wedgie.  But, I love the picture anyways!

Here is what I have been working on lately {mostly this week....}

This is the beginning of the pillowcase dresses.

The leopard print one is the only one on a barrette clip.

I LOVE the colors of the blue and orange ones.

But, I think my favorite ones are the checkered ones..especially the black!

I hope to be FINALLY finished with the pillowcase dress tonight.

And..I have also been working on some artwork for my kitchen!

I cannot wait until it is all finished!!

New things

Here are some things that I have been working on.
Well, the paintings I didn't have THAT much to do with.


Hopefully soon I will have the crib painted and all put together!
I have the CUTEST bedding!!!
And, after Charlotte's birthday, on MONDAY
{ACK!!! She will be 2 years old!!!}
she will have Princess bedding!!!

I cannot wait to show off the girls' room as a whole,
but I am satisfied for now to show it off in parts!!!


Oh, and of course a few pics of my LOVELIES!!!!

Aren't these paintings just DARLING!?!?

I cannot wait to have them PERFECTLY placed in the nursery!!!

The peg star was given to me a while back,

but I never put it up in Charlotte's room.

Until now, obviously!!

I just added the ribbon

The same as on Charlotte's painting...

And VIOLA! I have a bow holder!!

This double frame had plain white ribbon and was pink and purple

{I believe....}

When I had Charlotte, I painted it the pink and green you see on the "coat rack"

Now, since the walls are painted pink..green and yellow,

I figured it would be a bit much.

So, I put the same ribbon as on Audrey's painting in place of the white...

painted it all white...

and added the same rhinestones as on Charlotte's painting.

We got the glider from my Nana, Grandaddy and Aunt Shannon when I was pregnant

with Charlotte....

The pillow is new...it matches the bedding that will go in Audrey's crib!!!
