Charming Charlotte

I am sure all mom's have some cute things they have heard their kids say...and I have my fair share as well.

JUST now, Charlotte came running into the kitchen telling me she wanted to go to a Zoo.
Followed by a circus.

I asked her where she heard about a zoo or circus and she replied : The pig said Zoo!

Oookay.

Also, this morning. She exclaimed that we "NEED an igloo in our front yard."
Charlotte, why do you think we NEEEEED an igloo in our yard?

"Because Audrey and I can play it, mommy!" "we need a red one for Audrey and a blue one for me and a purple one for the playing turtle."

WHAT was in that juice I gave her this morning!?!?!

On a more serious note, I have a prayer request for y'all.
A dear friend of mine from high school, Lindsey, was seriously injured early Sunday morning.

She and a friend were walking out from work and a drunk driver ran off the road and hit them.
The friend, I believe his name is Mark, tried to push Lindsey out of the way, but it was too late.

They were both hit.  They are both alive.  Praise God! But, Lindsey suffered 4 breaks to her pelvis and knee {that is all I know for now} She is going to be transferred to another hospital to the middle of our state, hopefully today. The only thing I know of about Mark is that his leg was shattered.

Lindsey will have a long road of recovery ahead of her.  I just ask you all to pray for her and her friend. If he hadn't pushed her, she would have been killed.

She was my best friend in High School, and whenever I think back on those years, Lindsey is in there, somewhere! We drifted apart after my graduation {she was a year under me} But, I still love her dearly.

{this picture was taken in 2007 at our NLHS reunion show, it's one of the only photo's  I have on this computer of her :(
and her hand is on my VERY pregnant belly....btw! lol }

Thank y'all for taking the time to read and hopefully say a prayer for her and Mark and their families!

P.S. I am not sure if the dd fled the scene or if he stayed, but regardless of that, he was arrested.
