Georgia On My Mind

Well, actually our trip started out in South Carolina, but whatever.

Once we arrived in Greenville, SC, we went over to Jackie's brother's house to visit with him and his family.
The kids all played together and we all had a great time just hanging out together.  It didn't hurt that pizza may or may not have been involved.

The next day, we went to church with them and went to Red Robin's for lunch afterwards, meeting up with Jackie's cousin and his family!

Thanks to Susan for pointing out that all the kids that were there were in consecutive order..5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and zero if you count baby no name..

Once in Georgia, I didn't take many pictures.  I did take some on our one big trip out to the Mall of Georgia, though.  We had P.F. Chang's.  The girls ate with chopsticks for the first time.  Charlotte FINALLY got to ride on that carousel we had heard talk of ALL week and Audrey got her FIRST ride on it.
We also had to have the Build-A-Bear experience...and both girls left with new EXPENSIVE stuffed animals.  sigh. Not the most expensive ones in the store, mind you.  But 10 bucks for a bear!? Please.  They had one dog there that was oh about 26 dollars.  I.do.not.think.so.  Although, he was VERY huggable.  {I wouldn't know though...*ahem*}

So, here is the proof:

Dollar Tree hats the girls picked themselves:

No, Audrey is NOT dead, and Charlotte is NOT trying to wrap the body...

They had to have some kind of entertainment!

I'm BAAACK!

We arrived home safely from our "little" trip to Georgia on Monday.
Boy, was I exhausted.  Me and 2 kids stuck in a hotel room all week!?  No thanks.
And next year, there will be 3 kids......ACK! Hopefully NEXT year I can get behind the wheel....

With THAT said, I am glad we went as a family.  I would have been miserable here at home, too without Jackie.  Plus we missed out on all that torrential rain!

Since we have been back, my week has been UBER busy.  I had to immediately get all our unused baby clothes and items that were set aside for a yard sale {that was never going to happen} and tag it all for the Kidzswap sale going on this weekend.  It is a great way to get rid of unwanted items and let them do all the work..{other than the hours I spent tagging over 200 items....yuck.} Hopefully it will be well worth it. I guess I will find out tomorrow night when I go to pick up all the leftovers.  On the positive side, I did spend about 80 bucks on Charlotte for fall/winter clothes.  And a couple of dress up clothes, too!  We made out like bandits, I tell ya!

Enough chit chat...I promised to post the picture of the pillowcase dress I made before we left.  I didn't get a chance to take pics of the "halloween" ones for Hailey 's Bug.  But, I did get a shot of the one I was giving as a gift:

I really like the fabric and I hope I have enough leftover to make one for Audrey..even though her closet is FULL of clothes now.  So much so that Jackie is going out today to get a rod to make a second rack in their closet.  There definitely is not enough room in that closet for 3 GIRLS as it is......

Maybe I could make one in a teeny tiny size for the new baby!? Now that is an idea.
